Who are these young men and why do they call me mom?
I grew up in Buenos Aires, Argentina. After graduating from a public high school there, I went to Vassar College and later to Princeton for postgraduate work. I started my marketing career in Caracas, Venezuela at Procter & Gamble, where I helped launch Pampers and where I learned how to do market research, both B2B and B2C. I moved to Brooklyn, New York and worked for View-Master Ideal Toys, now part of Mattel, managing interactive and preschool toys. I then lived in Mexico City, where I consulted for Hartz Mountain and other American companies. Back in the US, I worked for Western Union for 11 years, in Miami, Denver and Buenos Aires (5 years in general management for the Latin America region, the rest in marketing around the world). This helped me gain great understanding of money remittances and payments in general. Then I worked for Centennial/AT&T in Puerto Rico (wireless and wireline, both B2C and B2B), and for Vantiv/WorldPay, a leader in payment solutions, in Cincinnati. I was proud to head the marketing department when Vantiv went public in 2013. For a couple of years I consulted for Calitech Services, a cloud hosting and managed services provider. A year ago I moved to Seattle to work for Amazon Pay, first as head of US marketing and now in the US Go to Market department, as head of its volume business. I love living in Seattle with my partner Steve, our dog Iris and our cat Daenerys (Dany).
